The San Antonio Spurs won their 15th consecutive victory in San Antonio against the Utah Jazz on Thursday night. The last time the Jazz beat the Spurs in Texas David Robinson was facing Karl Malone. Bill Clinton was President of The United States and George W. Bush was the Governor of the State of Texas. The Twin Towers were standing and Osama-Bin- Laden was not a household name. Saddam Hussein ruled Iraq then while tonight he is a hanged man.
Get the picture? It's been awhile folks. That is some domination over a good team and an excellent example of "Not in Our House".
This year the Spurs did it to prove a point or two. First they had lost their last two games and there was no way they wanted to return to practice with Pops if they lost three in a row. They also have been battling what seems to be at least a midwest-wide stomach flu virus that has been going around and wanted to prove that their health is coming back.
The team responded. Believe me, if Pops says they played four full quarters, they responded. Utah is always a tough physical opponent and defeating them 106 to 83 is an indication of a solid team effort.
