Dear Jim,
Boy, Jim, tell me. I feel for you man. Sometimes we want to just let our hair down and say what we think. You got it from your father and I got it from my mother who got it from her father.
But Jim, we just can't. You sure as heck can't unless you want to lose millions. Me, I can't either. I've lost too many jobs already and need one now to support my family. So let's both work on it huh? Here's one to us buddy.
Cheers!
Your friend,
Kevin

CHARLOTTE, N.C.
Atlanta Falcons coach Jim Mora said Wednesday he hopes his admittedly ill-advised Seattle radio interview last week wasn't "a fatal mistake." "If it was, I have to live with that," he said on a conference call with Charlotte-based reporters. "Whatever consequences, whatever criticisms that come from it, it's my responsibility to live up to them, and I will." Mora said he felt "awful" about how the radio interview came across and that he hopes it doesn't overshadow the success the Falcons have had in his three seasons, and his commitment to the team and the Atlanta community. Falcons owner Arthur Blank will decide after the season whether to retain Mora, who takes a 7-7 record into Sunday's 1p.m. game at the Georgia Dome against the Panthers (6-8).
Mora said he was joking with radio co-host and former college roommate Hugh Millen last Thursday on Seattle station KJR when he said he'd be willing to leave the Falcons during a playoff run if the University of Washington job ever opened. Blank didn't find it funny, calling it a "boneheaded" mistake. Mora echoed that Wednesday, saying it was "stupid." "So we've done a lot of good things, but it's amazing how five minutes can ruin it all if you're not careful," he said.
